How to repair this? A lot of my Icon's are gone and it says this file can not be found and it points back to %systemroot%\installer in Windows 7

First try to turn off you computer and then restart it again in Safe mode, and then again in normal mode. Starting in safe mode, it will load default basic settings for the computer, this way it will rebuild the icon folder. If that fails, do you have a restore point? Try restoring from earlier restore points.MCSE, MCSA, MCDST

Yes I did. Not cccleaner but one like it. I took someone's advise and I probably shouldn't have.

Excuse me for my bad english...It's for that... for that utillity. They only destroy the system.For how long have you had your problem??Try to restore your system to a date whe it was working fine. I hope you have a restor point.For that use rstrui.exeBest Regards,Ricardo Polo "HodracirK"

Your English is fine. I did that and there was something was wrong with the recovery, even in the safe mode. I am going to reinstall W7 because I don't have much on the computer yet. I have learned a lot since my first install. Thank you for everything. J

;-)Only remeber don't run that kind of applications, tha kind tha promise you "your pc will run 10x faster". If you are not sure feel free of contact me...And I recommend you install and antivirus, I recommend you this http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/is free and is REALLY good (whitouth being a Microsoft fan boy).
